Cayin Jazz 70<\/strong> is a tube integrated amplifier designed to combine an EL34 analog circuit, two operating modes and a complete Bluetooth section in a single device. Belonging to Cayin\u2019s Jazz class and presented as the entry-level model in the line, it uses four EL34 power tubes in a Class AB1 push-pull<\/strong> configuration and three 12AU7\/ECC82 tubes in the preamplifier stage. The equipment also includes three LINE analog inputs, a Bluetooth input, a headphone output and terminals for 4 or 8 ohm speakers.<\/p>\n

EL34 tube amplifier with push-pull circuit<\/h2>\n

The heart of the Cayin Jazz 70 consists of four selected and matched EL34 tubes used in the power stage. The Class AB1 push-pull configuration is the central element of the amplifier\u2019s architecture, while the preamplifier uses three 12AU7 tubes, also identified by the ECC82 designation. This combination defines the device\u2019s tube-based design and allows the user to choose between two operating modes: Triode<\/strong> and Ultralinear<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Triode mode, the Jazz 70 delivers 17 W + 17 W RMS. When Ultralinear mode is selected, the available power rises to 35 W + 35 W RMS. The two options therefore allow the amplifier\u2019s operation to be adapted to listening preferences and system context, without changing the device\u2019s general configuration. The mode is selected directly on the amplifier and distinguishes two operating settings clearly indicated by the manufacturer.<\/p>\n

Construction and components<\/h2>\n

The Cayin Jazz 70 features point-to-point wiring<\/strong>. Power is supplied by a hand-made toroidal transformer characterized by low magnetic leakage. EI transformers with a wide frequency response are used for the output. These elements form part of the amplifier\u2019s technical structure and accompany the EL34 tube section in an integrated design intended for use in HiFi systems.<\/p>\n

The tubes are protected by a removable metal grille. The protection can remain installed during use or be removed when visual access to the tube section is desired, always taking into account the necessary precautions related to the presence of hot and powered components. Two dedicated instruments are present on the front panel for displaying, adjusting and monitoring bias. This equipment allows the bias to be checked directly on the device, without confusing this function with a simple aesthetic indicator.<\/p>\n

The front panel is available in black or silver<\/strong>. The appearance combines the front instruments with the visible tubes and removable protective grille, maintaining a recognizable setup for a tube amplifier in the Jazz series. The declared weight is 15.6 kg, while the dimensions are 300 \u00d7 338 \u00d7 190 mm.<\/p>\n

Bluetooth connectivity and analog sources<\/h2>\n

In addition to the tube section, Cayin Jazz 70 offers an integrated Bluetooth input. The wireless connection uses Bluetooth 5.1, a Qualcomm QCC5125 chipset and an ESS ES9018K2M DAC. The device name displayed during pairing is Cayin HD BT<\/strong>. The declared range reaches up to 10 meters under conditions compatible with normal wireless-connection operation.<\/p>\n

Bluetooth supports LDAC, aptX HD, aptX LL, aptX, AAC, MP3 and SBC formats. The presence of multiple formats allows different Bluetooth sources to be used, naturally verifying the format actually available according to the transmitting device and its settings. The Jazz 70 can therefore be integrated into a system in which music is also played from Bluetooth-enabled devices, without requiring a dedicated analog connection for this source.<\/p>\n

For wired sources, three RCA analog inputs are available, identified as LINE 1, LINE 2 and LINE 3<\/strong>. This configuration allows several analog devices to be connected to the amplifier and the desired input to be selected according to the source in use. The input has a sensitivity of 380 mV and an impedance of 100 kOhm. Bluetooth is listed separately among the inputs, alongside the three LINE connections.<\/p>\n

Speaker connection and headphone listening<\/h2>\n

The Cayin Jazz 70 has speaker outputs for 4 ohm and 8 ohm<\/strong> speakers. Before connection, it is important to choose the terminal corresponding to the nominal impedance of the speakers being used and to follow the system installation instructions. The amplifier is therefore prepared for integration with speakers matching these two declared connection values.<\/p>\n

A headphone output compatible with models having an impedance between 16 and 300 ohm<\/strong> is also provided. This makes it possible to use the Jazz 70 both as a speaker amplifier and as a personal listening point, by directly connecting headphones within the indicated range. The declared compatibility concerns impedance; the specific characteristics of the headphones and individual preferences may nevertheless affect the listening experience.<\/p>\n
