Shanling ET3

The Shanling ET3 is a CD player that functions as a high-end digital transport. It is based on the very popular EC3 model and offers a complete set of outputs, including advanced I²S and USB Audio standards. The manufacturer has further enhanced the ET3 with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, MQA support, and a separate CT7302CL upscaling chip, which powers the All-to-DSD function.

Shanling ET3 is a compact CD player

Shanling ET3 is a CD player housed in a sleek and durable aluminum alloy casing. Its compact dimensions are only 25.5 cm (length) x 18.8 cm (width) x 6.8 cm (height). It takes up less space than an A4 sheet, meaning it can be placed even on small tables or stands.

The ET3 features a top-loading design. A durable plastic transparent cover protects the discs, allowing users to observe the CDs spinning. The model stands out for its control buttons, elegantly integrated into the top panel, and its "circular" screen. The ET3 is also available in black or silver, so you can choose the one that best matches the rest of your system.

Shanling ET3 with Philips unit and Sanyo laser

The Shanling ET3 is based on the proven Philips CD80 CD player and the high-quality Sanyo HD850 laser head. This ensures excellent stability and error-free CD reading, allowing the model to compete in performance with the high-end CD players introduced by the company over the last 30 years.

Shanling ET3 MQA-CD support

Shanling has enhanced the ET3 with MQA-CD support, allowing it to function as a full MQA CD decoder. Simply connect the CD transport to an MQA-enabled DAC via I2S to enjoy high-quality MQA files.

Shanling ET3 with up to five digital outputs

The ET3 is an advanced CD transport with five digital outputs. Shanling has integrated traditional coaxial, optical, and AES outputs, as well as a I2S output and a dedicated USB output, optimized for data transfer. These last two support PCM up to 32 bit/768 kHz and DSD up to 512. This makes the ET3 an excellent partner for DACs, DAC/AMPs, and other hi-fi devices, both old and new.

The perfect match for the ET3 is the Shanling EH3, which will be available soon. This DAC/AMP for headphones has been designed in combination with the company's CD transport, mirroring its design and dimensions. Both devices can be connected via I2S, allowing DSD audio playback from CDs, USB drives, or wirelessly.

Shanling ET3 with Bluetooth support with LDAC

Shanling ET3 is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0. This allows for wireless music streaming from laptops, tablets, or smartphones to the device, playing it back in high quality, appreciated among streaming service users. ET3 also supports the LDAC codec, which ensures maximum file transfer speed via Bluetooth (AAC for iOS and iPadOS devices).

Shanling ET3 with DLNA and AirPlay support

The ET3 is equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), supports AirPlay (for Apple devices), and DLNA streaming. The Shanling CD player can also function as a NAS server and as a source for DLNA-enabled devices.

Shanling ET3 with upsampling and All-to-DSD functionality

The Shanling ET3 is equipped with an additional CT7302CL chip for upsampling. This allows you to upscale audio files from CDs, USB drives, or streaming music via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to 768 kHz for PCM (for I2S output) or play them as DSD files using the "All-to-DSD" function.

This makes the ET3 an excellent option for pairing with high-end DACs.

"Round" screen for convenient use of the Shanling ET3

The Shanling ET3 is powered by a dual-core Ingenic X2000 processor, ensuring smooth operation and offering features not available in lower-end CD players. Ease of use is guaranteed by a Motorola "round" IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 320 x 290 pixels. Users can also control the player remotely via the Eddict Player app.
