OCXO Technology: absolute clock signal stability
The heart of the AUNE NC1 EVO is an OCXO (Oven‑Controlled Crystal Oscillator) that keeps the crystal at a constant and tightly controlled temperature, drastically reducing oscillation variations due to the external environment. The result is an extremely stable and precise clock signal, with a significant reduction in jitter and phase noise.

In sonic terms, this translates into greater focus and micro dynamics, with more natural transients and better temporal coherence between the various instruments. But NC1 EVO is not just a dual-output clock generator, but also a sophisticated linear power supply capable of providing two different power voltages at 9V or 12V (switchable via internal dip switch) that can power both Aune products and any other. The aerospace-grade aluminum chassis, combined with a multi-layer insulation system, protects the internal circuit from electromagnetic and electrical interference. This construction approach ensures that the digital clock signal remains undisturbed, preserving integrity and precision even in the most critical conditions. The temporal base of the entire system thus remains stable and reliable at all times. NC1 EVO uses the same enclosure as N5, Aune's streamer, and it matches both in terms of clock and power supply. On the 3” front display, the internal temperature indication, strictly monitored, the used sockets, and the selected voltages for the outputs are shown.
Toroidal linear power supply: the basis of a natural sound

AUNE NC1 EVO integrates a toroidal transformer made ad-hoc with a separate branch for the OCXO quartz alone, and two others for the DC outputs of 9V 2.5A or 12V 2A to provide clean and interference-free energy from both the power grid and mutual

One of the great strengths of the AUNE NC1 EVO is its extensive compatibility. It can be connected not only to Aune products but can provide clock signals and power to devices from many other brands, thanks to the 10 MHz > 7 dBm clock signal at 50 Ohm on BNC
